Sacramento ASSP – SMUD Rancho Seco Tour

The ASSP Sacramento Chapter invites you to join us for a tour of a decommissioned nuclear power plant at the Sacramento Municipal Utility District’s (SMUD) Rancho Seco.  Please join us in learning about the history of the Sacramento nuclear power plant that once produced more energy than any other nuclear power plant in the world and the efforts made to safely decommission the nuclear plant after local voters called to close the plant in 1989.

Please note

• Attendees are encouraged to bring their own Personal Protective Equipment. Closed-toed shoes are required.
• Wellness checks MUST be completed by ALL attendees morning of prior to showing up
• If you are feeling ill, please stay home and get well
• Face covering is optional and available upon request
• Please report to the host/SMUD if you become ill or test positive for COVID-19 within two days after the event.
